I feel like you don't fully understand a snow day until your a mom. I loved snow days as a kid and young adult. As a little kid it was a cherished day. it was so exciting to see your schools name across the bottom of the nightly news! Then as a college student it came as a well welcomed excuse not to get my butt out of bed! Now as a mother its there's a whole new side to it. I cherish when my babies are little, I really do. This season of life is such a short amount of time so I try to embrace it all. The giggles, the sleep less nights, every snotty kiss. But these snows days this year have been a challenge. lol . Being stuck in the house for the ENTIRE day is pain full. The house ends up a wreck, I hear mom way too many times, and I just don't get a minute to breathe. I mean how many times can one 5 year old need a snack! Again let me state I cherish this season of life but I can totes do without snow days.. but my mom hack ffor you mommas that experience snow days too or just need a min of peace is having small things hidden around the house! So I hit up the dollar target section for crafts and little toys. Izzys favorite thing is this little painting things.

They always have some form of them and they usually are centered around the season! They are cheap and give momma 10 mins of quiet time! I also keep one or two lol dolls or any blind bags like that in the house! So moms don't feel guilty if by the end of a snow day you are ready to ship them to boarding school! hahaha
