Let me start by disclosing, I love pinterst! I have a ton of boards and have gotten and used a million ideas from there. I have used plenty of party ideas and recipes from there! But I think we can all agree that we've all had our Pinterest fails and moments where we are like "when in the hell did you have time for that?!" Now I totally support and respect Pinterest moms, they make beautiful things and share great ideas. Now heres where today's post begins..
After Izzy got on the bus this morning, I was cleaning out one of my many junk drawers and came across her classroom monthly newsletter. I come to read that her valentines day box not only needs to be made at home, but is due tomorrow! face palm. I instantly open Pinterest and start looking for ideas. Well lets give all the moms who have posted their creative valentines day boxes on there a round of applause. Seriously, they were amazing!! But I had no time nor energy to make some elaborate box. And I feel like this is frowned upon since I am a SAHM, that I should have read the newletter and I should have made this amazing box. You know what though moms, I am here to tell you it is OKAY not to have gone the extra mile here! Working or staying at home, we are all busy and have full schedules. We have to remind ourselves its okay to forget things and were still doing an amazing Job..
So here are the items I rounded up from my target trip for Izzy's box. I got all of her favorite things; unicorns, hearts, sequins, and gems. Its her box so I let her at it! I also bought a box that was pink and had hearts on it so I didn't have to wrap a shoe box. I helped her hot glue the gems and ribbon but, girlfriend did the rest. And you know what? It turned out perfect!

So remember moms, no matter if you made the amazing Pinterest valentines day box or let your kid at it, they are all great and our children are going to love them!
XOXOX
